Incentive trips and corporate groups in Rio de Janeiro

We arrange incentive trips, sales-team rewards and corporate retreats in Rio de Janeiro for groups of about 10 to 200 people: the program, transfers, guides, private experiences, group dinners and event nights. Send us the dates, the group size and what the trip should achieve, and you get a priced proposal within 24 hours.

Updated:

What we arrange

We start from what the trip is for, such as rewarding a sales team or bringing people from several offices together, and build the program around it. We take care of:

  • the program day by day, with free time where the group needs it;
  • airport transfers and coaches, minibuses or vans sized to the group (see group transfers);
  • local guides, with the guide’s language confirmed in the proposal;
  • private experiences, such as a boat on Guanabara Bay, Sugarloaf with priority lines, a samba rehearsal or a helicopter flight;
  • group dinners, an awards night or a party at a venue booked for you;
  • the big dates, Carnival and New Year’s Eve.

A local provider we have vetted delivers each service. You deal only with us and receive the provider details after you confirm.

Why Rio works for incentives

  • Most of the sights a group comes for belong to one World Heritage site, “Rio de Janeiro: Carioca Landscapes between the Mountain and the Sea”, inscribed by UNESCO in 2012. It covers Corcovado with the statue of Christ, Sugarloaf, Guanabara Bay, the Copacabana seafront, Tijuca National Park and the Botanical Gardens, founded in 1808.
  • Rio has two airports, the international Galeão (GIG) and Santos Dumont (SDU), 16 km and 2 km from the Píer Mauá cruise terminal in the port district.
  • The city’s convention bureau, the Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Rio), helps organizers plan events in the city. On September 30, 2026 FecomércioRJ announced that ABAV Expo, the trade fair of the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies, will take place in Rio every year from 2027 to 2032.

Dates to plan around

Date What is on What it means for a group
October 24, 2026 to April 8, 2027 Cruise season, with 127 ship calls expected in Rio More time in the port district on days with several ships
December 31, 2026 (Thursday) New Year’s Eve on Copacabana; January 1 is a national holiday We book boats, hotel dinners and parties as early as we can
January 23, 24, 30 and 31, 2027 Free technical rehearsals of the Special Group samba schools at the Sambadrome A night at the Sambadrome before Carnival, with free entry
February 7, 8 and 9, 2027 Carnival: Special Group parades at the Sambadrome A camarote, a transfer and a guide for the night

Experiences we can add

Sugarloaf with priority lines

The Sugarloaf cable car park sells two tickets that suit groups. Fast Access gives priority lines at every station and a lounge at Praia Vermelha before boarding. The guided visit comes with a bilingual park guide who tells the history of the cable car. The cable car runs in the rain, though strong wind or lightning can stop it for a while. The park also lists a helicopter ride over its surroundings, and we quote flights with the route and conditions in the proposal.

A private boat on Guanabara Bay

We charter a boat with crew for your group alone, sized to the group, for lunch on the water or for the sunset. For New Year’s Eve, the Capitania dos Portos, the Navy’s port authority, inspects boats heading for the fireworks: documents, safety gear and capacity, plus a breathalyzer test for skippers on December 31. We book only boats that passed.

Christ the Redeemer, booked early

Until about the end of May 2027 the escalators at the monument are being replaced: everyone climbs the last 80 steps on foot, and Tijuca National Park has halved the number of visitors allowed at the top at one time. The Corcovado train takes bookings from tourism groups, and we reserve your slot as soon as you confirm.

Samba and Carnival

Samba schools hold weekly rehearsals and events at their halls (quadras), open to the public and more frequent as Carnival gets closer; each school posts dates and ticket prices on its social media. In January, LIESA, the league of samba schools, runs free technical rehearsals at the Sambadrome on the dates in the table above.

For the parades, we usually propose a camarote to a corporate group. According to FCVB-RJ, the federation of convention bureaux in Rio de Janeiro state, camarotes include an open bar, food, exclusive shows and in many cases a transfer. LIESA took camarote reservation requests on May 2, 2026, so for 2027 we work with what each organizer still has. See the Carnival group program and the New Year’s Eve group program.
